Cannex Asia Pacific, which opened on Tuesday, 15 May 2012, in Guangzhou, is the most successful trade show for the canmaking industry ever held in China.
By the end of the second day on Wednesday, the event had attracted around 2,200 pre-registered industry professionals, in addition to around 800 staff from almost 150 exhibiting companies.
It is the second time that the show, which closes Thursday after three days, has been held in China, the first also in Guangzhou in 2009.
The show was officially opened by Mr Zhou Yunjie, director, and Mrs Zhang Hong, secretary general of the China Packaging Federation Metal Container Association, and Mr Xie Qifeng, consultant to the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, in company with Allan Sayers and Monica Higuera, editor of The Canmaker.
