Dr Alex Kruglov Vice, President Global Technology Packaging The Sherwin-Williams Company, USA
Dr Alex Kruglov is Global Technology Vice President at the Packaging Division of US-based Sherwin Williams with responsibility for global R&D, including new product development, innovation, quality and materials management.
He started his career at General Electric Plastics, now Sabic Innovative Plastics where he held management positions in the Lexan, Ultem and Noryl businesses. He was Global R&D Director at W R Grace & Co’s Construction Products Division.
In 2013 Dr Kruglov joined Valspar, which was acquired by Sherwin Williams in 2017 to become the world’s largest premier paint and coating solutions company.
His doctorate is from the Mendeleev Russian University of Chemical Engineering in Moscow after which he completed postdoctoral studies in Minnesota. He is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
