Ricardo Costa is responsible for global procurement and buying at Portuguese olive oil manufacturer Gallo Worldwide and is a member of its executive committee.
He started his career in 1999 as a trainee at food manufacturer and distributor Jerónimo Martins, which also has interests in retailing. After managing the centralisation of its business, in 2007 he moved to Recheio, the cash-and-carry business at Jerónimo Martins to coordinate its food service operations.
Two years later he became deputy marketing director at supermarket chain Pingo Doce, in which Jerónimo Martins has a share.
Costa moved in 2014 from retail to FMCG and his current position at Gallo Worldwide. Married with a son, Costa’s hobbies are surfing around the world and playing guitar in his rock band.
