Canmaking executives, technical specialists, suppliers and metal packaging users from around the world attended Cannex de las Américas in Las Vegas between 27-29 April. The show, at the Sands Convention Centre, was a resounding success for both exhibitors and visitors.
Faced with the current global economic situation, many visitors said that they were particularly seeking technology, equipment, materials and services that would allow them to reduce costs and boost productivity. Exhibitors at the show demonstrated that they were ready to deliver and were willing to adopt new ideas to meet the challenges of canmakers and can users.

The continuing growth of businesses on an international scale was highlighted by those who attended. Many North American exhibitors expressed an interest in expanding their operations overseas and used the opportunity to meet with visitors from places such as Asia, the Pacific Rim, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia.
Meanwhile, overseas exhibitors were highlighting their products and services to a global audience, many of who were seeing these companies for the very first time.
